Boho Oceanfront Wedding, Maui | Payton + Dominick ♥

It was so much fun photographing Payton & Dominicks wedding at Olowalu Plantation House, one of my favorite Maui venues!

Firstly, this destination venue is stunning. Situated right on the oceanfront on Maui West side in between Lahaina and Kihei, it’s the perfect place for a memorable celebration. The historic plantation house, built in 1922, is adorable. It’s retained it’s classic plantation house feel, with original wooden windows and charming style. It’s the perfect backdrop for wedding day with a separate guys and girls room to get ready in, and a large living room to chill in. The large lanai out front overlooks the ocean with the island of Lanai in the distance and the crashing waves hitting the pier off to the side.

As I arrived at the plantation house on wedding day, Payton was with her girls getting ready. It was actually an unusually rainy and windy day outside so we were a little extra nervous about the ceremony. Regardless, Payton and the girls were in high spirits and having the best time together. Dominick was in the other room with his guys and they were having beers, relaxing and joking around. As the ceremony time approached, the weather was on full display, but it was go time so the coordinators set up the ceremony off to the side of the house where it would be more protected.

With guests seated, and everyone ready, rain or shine- the ceremony began. As the music started and the wedding party began walking down the aisle, the sun came out and apart from a few drops, the skies cleared. It could not have been a more beautiful ceremony. Payton looked stunning and the look in Dominicks eyes when she walked down the aisle, said it all. They laughed and cried and their guests wiped away tears. These lovebirds had been together for many years already, and with their sweet baby girl in attendance it was finally their moment.

The wedding decor looked amazing. Payton chose a boho styled dress, and her flowers were a muted shade of orange and light pink, which also had some mixed in dried flowers. Dominick donned a neutral colored linen suite which perfectly matched the vibe of the day.

The rest of the day was amazing and luckily, the weather subsided. They enjoyed some amazing food, first dance, cake cutting, and heart felt speeches. They truly had the best day ever and were surrounded by so much love at their Hawaii wedding by the sea ♥
